Enersol is a pioneering joint venture between two leading, ADX-listed Abu Dhabi companies – ADNOC Drilling and Alpha Dhabi Holdings. With a $1.5 billion mandate, we are acquiring companies that are driving transformation in the oilfield and energy sector through AI and advanced technologies. So far, we have acquired Gordon Technologies, EV, NTS Amega and Deep Well Services.
With more than 140 patents, Enersol is driving the tech-energy revolution in the UAE, bringing advanced technologies, including AI and digitalization, and supporting Make It In The Emirates through local manufacturing and In-Country Value
Enersol’s portfolio of cutting-edge technology companies work together to identify opportunities, innovate and develop more advanced technologies
Enersol is half-way through its acquisition phase, having acquired four global technology companies. As we expand our portfolio in 2025, our impact will also magnify. Together, our companies are leveraging AI and advanced technologies to reshape the oilfield and energy sectors, unlock new business opportunities, create value, and pave the way for a dynamic, tech-driven energy future
Gordon Technologies is a globally leading provider of measurement-while-drilling (MWD) technology. With multiple patents, Gordon has developed one of the industry’s most robust and reliable MWD systems, which reduces drilling time, improves wellbore quality, and increases overall drilling efficiency.
Gordon’s systems, which are on more than 100 rigs in the US, have achieved best-in-class performance, particularly in high temperature applications, which are especially relevant for securing the UAE’s unconventional energy resources and have enabled Gordon to also enter the geothermal market.
Gordon established operations in the UAE in 2024 and its technology has already led to a new record in UAE drilling efficiency, with even greater results expected as the company expands its operations in the country. Gordon is scheduled to begin regular manufacturing in the UAE in 2025.
Acquisitions have further strengthened Gordon Technologies’ capabilities and offering:
Paisano Labs: secures Gordon’s access to proprietary gamma detectors and propagation resistivity tools used in directional drilling
Vertex Downhole Trading: enables Gordon to accelerate its expansion in the Middle East and broader Eastern Hemisphere, where it aims to be the leading MWD provider
Noralis: enables Gordon to create a complete mechanical and electrical MWD product offering
EV is at the forefront of AI-enabled downhole visual analytics and diagnostics. It boasts more than 120 patents, developed at its EV Technology Centre, which enable its 360-degree downhole cameras and integrated camera-ultrasound technologies to generate a high-definition understanding of downhole challenges, supporting real-time, effective decision making.
Its recently launched PigCam® is a revolutionary pipeline camera that transforms pipeline inspections. EV’s cutting-edge Asset Inspection Visualization and Analytics system, AIVA™, uses AI and machine learning techniques to enable well and pipeline operators to make effective decisions, improving operational efficiency.
EV operates in 37 countries and has achieved an incredible milestone of 1.5 million hours worked without a single Lost Time Injury, a testament to the commitment and vigilance of the entire team.
The company is also making a significant contribution to advancements in geothermal energy.
EV brings a wealth of cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to the UAE energy sector and will work with another Enersol company, NTS Amega, on repairs and maintenance in the UAE.
With facilities in the UAE and globally, NTS is a key part of Enersol’s strategy to build a scalable technology ecosystem by providing its advanced manufacturing, complex tool repair and rental solutions to Enersol portfolio companies’ new operations in the UAE and beyond. The company’s custom solutions minimize downtime, create greater efficiencies and reduce costs. These solutions include high tolerance manufacturing of complex rotary steerable heads, measuring/logging collars, carriers and accessories, drilling tools, topside, subsea, and process system components.
NTS’ specialized repair processes extend the life and availability of measuring while drilling, logging while drilling, non-magnetic drill collars, and other drilling accessories. NTS is qualified to provide an extensive suite of repairs for Tier 1 oil and gas service companies and has a vast number of complex manufacturing contracts in the US, UAE and Saudi Arabia. In 2024, it became the first company to gain approval for stub welding in Guyana by SLB and Exxon. NTS contributes to Make It In The Emirates and In-Country Value and will be a key plank of Enersol’s efforts to boost this further. In 2024, NTS also launched a unique drilling centre of excellence in the US and is continuously expanding into new markets and segments. NTS also owns Cobore Inc, a renowned leader in precision hole making processes and capabilities, and Promet AS, a manufacturing business that is part of NTS’s strategy for expansion in the UAE, enabling it to uniquely provide manufacturing of components used by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to ADNOC and other Middle East end users. Through Enersol, NTS expects new opportunities as other portfolio companies enter or expand operations in the UAE and the Middle East, as well as synergies created by the portfolio companies.
