We have consistently invested in new technologies that reduce our footprint. For example, we utilize advanced, record-breaking horizontal and directional drilling methods or cluster drilling techniques. These let us drill more efficiently and continue to reduce our ecological footprint, while our nine state-of-the-art island ‘walking’ rigs reduce the need for use of offshore jack-up rigs, lowering impact on our marine environment.
Climate change is one of the biggest issues facing all governments, businesses and societies today. We all have a role to play and we as an industry can do more on climate change. We see the transition to a low carbon economy as an opportunity. As a low cost and low carbon intensity producer we are well positioned, if not the best positioned, for this transition.
We are proud of our approach and achievements to date and are keen to share that with shareholders in our sustainability reporting going forward.
